full-2kit-orderAbout the DryBuddy Wireless Bedwetting Alarm System
One of the greatest impediments to the successful use of bed wetting alarms is that the parent/caregiver has to sleep in the patients's room, to ensure that the patient wakes up and that clean-up and other procedures are followed. Many parents find this to be the most objectionable aspect of training a child, and have wished that they could sleep in their own room and be woken up only when the child has an accident. This is the key to our DryBuddy patient-friendly moisture alarm therapy - it wakes the caregiver (sleeping in the comfort and privacy of his or her own room) as well as the patient.

Parents may also object to having to purchase expendable supplies for use in some wetness sensing systems. The DryBuddy System requires no expendable supplies, thereby creating significant savings while you are using DryBuddy. What you initially purchase - illustrated above - is all that you need to effectively use the DryBuddy System.

In addition, the DryBuddy Enuresis/Bedwetting System also facilitates keeping proper records for the patient's doctor.

Note: The DryBuddy system can qualify for insurance Flexible Spending Accounts. Please see # 28 in the FAQs page for further information.

How DryBuddy works: a simple 3-step process...
1. The DryBuddy sensor registers urination during sleep (or while the patient is awake).
2. Upon sensing the urine, the sensor sends a wireless signal which is picked up by a receiver in the patients's room, attached to an alarm. The receiver then transmits the signal to additional receiver/alarm module(s) in the home.
3. The additional module(s) (in the caregiver's room or elsewhere) then alerts the caregiver, who wakes the patient and makes sure that the proper steps are taken. This is the difference between DryBuddy and other enuresis products - many children are too sleepy to take care of themselves on their own - that is why the intervention of a parent/caregiver is important and necessary for successful training. However, with DryBuddy it is not necessary for the caregiver to sleep in the same room with the patient in order to be alerted.

What you get with a complete DryBuddy system with two alarms:
1. Wireless Sensor to register and sense the urine.*
2. Wireless Transceiver/Alarm module for use in the child/patient's room.*
3. Wireless Transceiver/Alarm module for the parent/caregiver's room and/or other alternate rooms.*
4. Wireless Remote keyfob to conveniently use the DryBuddy system.

Why DryBuddy works:
Three factors keep the child from waking alone and carrying out hygienic and medical procedures:
(1) The body's natural signals fail to tell the child his or her bladder is full.
(2) They are sleeping too deeply to awaken to a sound, light or vibration.
(3) The child is too sleepy and lacks the motivation to get up and do the needful, falling back to sleep without concern.

One of the greatest impediments to the successful use of other systems that just use alarm(s) in the patient's room, is that a parent or caregiver has to sleep in the child's room to hear the alarm and ensure that the child wakes up and that procedures are followed. Many parents find this to be the most objectionable aspect of training the child, and wish that they could sleep in their own room and be woken up only when the child urinates.

** The DryBuddy approach is unique because it allows the parent/caregiver and the child/patient to sleep in the privacy and comfort of their own rooms.

** Caregivers may place an alarm anywhere in the patient's house where there is a standard electric socket. There are no distance limitations or limits to the number of alarms used inside the house.

** Caregivers may also add or substitute any 120V AC alarm device of their choice at each alarm location (louder sound, bright light, etc.).

** Another important advantage is that the sensor is completely wireless, so that there are no wires to entangle the patient, cause discomfort, or break. The child (or patient) can move around inside the house, or limited distances outside the house, and still activate the alarms. Except for the small, light wireless sensor, no other device or article is worn or attached to any part of the patient or the patient's clothing.

** The sensor is small, light, and comfortable, and remains in place while the patient sleeps. The magnetic cap makes attaching and removing the sensor easy and convenient and does not damage clothing.

** Yet another advantage is that you do not need any special expendable or disposable supplies for the DryBuddy system. Nor do you have to cut, sew, tape or take any special actions with clothing. No more special panties, sheets, liners, pads, sewing or taping parts, etc. This can provide significant savings in cost and hassle for you over the lifetime of your use of the product. The DryBuddy wetness sensor can be easily attached to any absorbent clothing (for example, briefs made of cotton) which your child or patient uses.

After a period of time, a conditioning linkage takes place - instead of a full bladder leading to a few drips leading to a caregiver's alarm, who then wakes the child to go to the bathroom and clean up, the full bladder leads the child directly to the bathroom.

"More than 80% of the children who use these alarms become, and more importantly, stay dry."

The innovative DryBuddy system and its unique sensor are patented.
